Training in a group environment provides the structure that some owners need. It also provides the dogs with a built-in set of distractions.There is no off-leash play in these classes, but we continue socializing the dogs with other dogs and people.
Level 1/Basic obedience is for dogs who are older than 6 months but who have not had much/any training. We cover the basic commands, but more rapidly than we do in puppy class.
Levels 2 and 3/Advanced classes, we review and refine basic obedience commands (dogs benefit from repetition) and add some new ones. When the dogs are ready, we begin off-leash exercises.
